It is advisable to apply early, since space is generally limited.Interested parents should contact , Director of Education.

STUDENTS:
Community High School enrolls nearly 170 students, privately and publicly funded, from 73 sending public school districts throughout five New Jersey counties, as well as New York City, Rockland, and Westchester Counties in New York State. They are young people of diverse cultural, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. Each student experiences a gap between his or her potential and performance, exhibiting varied deficits, including hyperactivity, speech and language impairment, dyslexia, and other social and academic delays. Our goal at Community High School is to provide innovative instruction built on each child's strengths in order to bridge the gaps created by these deficits.

The school extends beyond academics, offering a complete interscholastic athletics program, full-scale drama and music productions, photography, publishing courses, and a community service program that furthers social awareness and community participation. The students learning experience emphasizes knowledge and skills but also develops the independence, initiative and social and academic confidence that a young person needs to be successful in college.
